I am taking my dad and brother on a houseboat to the East end this weekend. I heard that the minnows are coming on strong. Anyone have good tips on bait especially with the recent cold front?

Docjim, Fish the reefs. Lindy Rig and Leech or a Lindy Rig and a Shiner have been working well. We are getting some nice shiners in at One Stop Tonight so we will have a full selection of minnows again.
I have found my reef fish in about 28' of water where the reef starts to break off into deeper water. I am not sure how the recent cold front has effected the fish, but warmer weather this weekend should straighten them out.

Boy this is weird. We caught numerous slot fish and couldnt find and eaters for shore lunch. Had to change tactics. We found the eaters in inner reefs (reefs coming out of 45 foot of water or less near bays). We caught all kinds of eaters in shallow. Never saw this before this late in the year
