We are coming up the last weekend in September. I am not looking for your specific "spots", but just wondering if Trappers Landing is near good walleye fishing, or should we try to find a cabin on a different side of the lake. I don't really want to trailer the boat all the way around the lake, and the boat is way to slow and small to go across the big water. I am just wondering which side of the lake offers the most fishing spots, and if Trappers is not located in a good area, where you would recommend. East, West, South, North? Thank you!

We will also be up the last weekend in September and are staying at Agency Bay Lodge ( http://agencybaylodge.com/)for our ninth year. If you have a small boat this is a great place to stay because you can catch walleyes, perch, northern, and muskie very close to the lodge. Ron and Sharon at Agency Bay can point you in the right direction for fish. If you stay there just look for the group of 5 dressed mainly in camo and say Hi. You can catch perch, northern, and walleyes within a half mile from the lodge.

Trappers Landing is as good a location as any especially at that time of the year. There is active water close enough for you to catch either perch or walleyes. That time of the year will should provide some prime time fishing.
If you need a bigger boat due to weather Trappers has some you can rent that will take you anywhere on the lake.
Best of luck, may see you there

Thanks, guys, we have booked for Trappers Landing, but bumped it up to the weekend of the 20th. Hopefully there will be a good bite going down on the south end there somewhere.

Coming up this weekend, leaving on Friday night. Just wondering if the minnow bite is starting yet as I like to stop at S@M Bait to pick up redtails as they stay open late.
