As far as Bush, never said he was a great President. I don't think he is a horrible President either. I think he falls just a little shy of good. But I still believe he was a better choice than the other to schmucks that were out there.

So I guess you can butter my butt and call me a Moron!! laugh

Muskyman-
F for failure, Moron? All aimed at Bush? Why is the president not deserving of respect, if only for the title? Could you do better? How would you have like to run this country after an attack on our soil? I find it funny how democrats always talk about "change" and bring both parties together, you your party always blast Bush worse then any other presient have had done in the history of America.

I get so sick of the democratic party and their followers. ALl you do is complain, put down, slam others, and bring nothing of positive ideas or better ways to run this country.

And it is really easy to site in America, on a fishingforum of all places you rip on the president and the job he had done, after the events have taken place. The fact is your are the Musky dude, and you would rather be musky fishing then putting up with 1/1,000.000,000 of the [PoorWordUsage] the president has to deal with.

Ok you are the president right now.

How to you bring our troops back, and leave Iraq in stable condition? (and don't say bush lied people died, get over it and we are there already)

How would you speak out against Russia?

What about the high cost of fuel? Are you for or against drilling?

Health Care and should it be universal? If yes, how are you going to fund all of this?

Mexico and illegal workers?

The housing crisis and current economic times?

Would you cut taxes?

NAFTA?

And those are only a few issues.....

Learn some respect for the big man in office. He might not be the best, but for 1 minute imagine the digital world existed for all of our past presidents. Talk about a mess. We might not even have a president anymore....who would want the job.

Heck who wants the job a 100 years from now...

Swill, we've had this discussion.

You respect the office; the man in it has to EARN respect.

To me, & millions of others, Bush has failed, utterly & miserably, above & beyond any other president while I've been alive. I have little to no respect for him. Deal with it.

Your questions are valid ones, but plug in the answers of "What Bush has done". Answer: very little, nothing, or screwed up royally. Sorry man. He's a lousy president & I'm looking forward to his descent from the throne.

What about congress, if I remember right, Pres Bush hasn't had to override too many Veto's to get "his" agenda through...or am I horribly mistaken?

after carter, i swore i would never vote to have one party run DC. when the dems ran everything in the late 1970's, whoa, disaster. then when the repubs ran everything in 2002-2006, forget it. so, i feel safe voting for McCain. Mccain will have the presidency, the dems the congress, and they can just fight for the next 4 to 8 years

Like I've pretty much said before......

All Star Wrestling has got nothing on this slapstick, other than it's probably more honest and "real".

Yeah, what it mostly boils down to is democrats will be democrats and republicans will be republicans. In the end, we're all Americans....that's the good part! wink

The rest of it is just blah blah blah....yada yada yada. Each person will vote the way they want. It's clear to me that most who participate in these political discussions already know who they're going to vote for. But the entertaining part is the lengths to which they'll go to convince other's that their vote is the right one....even those who disagree with them just as adamantly.

Makes for good reading and entertainment. grin

I know I've said my peace on here in 2 or 3 posts. And that was enough for me. I got my personal view out there, now I'm laying it to rest and just enjoying the rest of the conversation. grin
