Anybody fishing walleyes on Gull? Forum is pretty quiet, is it pretty dead out there yet? Pretty sure I was up last year at this time and it was very good. Coming up tomorrow for a couple days before the kids are back to school--give me some hope!

I have not had good luck so far. I think when they start it is going to be a great bite. Any day now...

Gull most days is tough right now for eyes. Fish a little deeper than where the bass are hanging out, and you should have decent action with bass and then a walleye once in awhile to. Fish in the wind if possible, this will increase your chances of walters. Redtails are working for me right now, on a livebait rig. Good luck!

Thought i'd give a report of our trip to Gull. Baitshops advised tough bite, but we loaded up with redtails and hit the lake. The bite was tough, but the weather was great! Seems we would pick off one or two active fish on every bar we fished, then nothin. We kept moving and ended up with a nice mess of 14-17in fish. Best depths were 14-18ft. Water temps were low 70's. Seems the size of fish has increased nicely since last year, as we didn't catch many dinks. LM Bass were crazy and fun. We also spent an afternoon chasing sunnies. Very nice size and again, alot of fun for us. Things should only get better from here.
