Does anyone know how the launch is at Father Hennepin State Park? I am thinking about putting in there on Monday, but with the lack of rain over the past 3 months, I'm not sure it is deep enough. I have an Alumacraft Navigator Sport 175 with a 115 hp Yahama 4 Stroke.

Thanks.

I think the boat ramp toward the west side of the park is a little deeper than the launch right by the campground if i'm not mistaken.

the launch by the campground dosent have parking. most of the people who use it are staying at the campground and launch their boat and take their trailer and truck back up to their campsite. i never have used the far one from the entrance but the other one was very nice and deep in june around 4 or 5 feet...

hope this helps

Rather B Fishing, we launched out of there yesterday. I have a 1800 Pro-V with a Prestige dual axle bunk, which is 2-3 inches higher than most bunks. The access to the west is usable and if you have a roller trailer or standard bunk you'll be fine. Just make sure your about 4 feet from the dock so you drop straight into the washout hole. Trim her up good as it does get to 1.7 in one spot after the washout and averages 2.2 for a bit. As a back up, the campground access has a deeper longer washout and same depth after the washout area as the other access. . If you launch there watch for rocks on the north side as you head out. You will have to have a buddy bring your truck to the other access to park if you are not staying at the campsite as waleyhuntr mentioned. Then just pick him up at the dock.
