it wouldnt hurt to book it now. if the perch bite is on, rooms can be hard to come by. also, maybe consider staying at one of the resorts, or maybe in a sleeper on the lake?

If thats the motel you want to stay at, why chance it? I would call now. I make many reservations 6-12 months in advance.

The GDP rooms do fill up fast for winter. I would not wait if that is where you want to stay. Book It!

The GDP is a good spot to base camp out of. Gas, bait, tackle, some grocery items nextdoor and a bar/restaurant on the other side of you. Not to mention you have close access to Winnie or Big/Little Cutfoot if you're chasing panfish.

Little winnie resort I thought was very reasonable in the winter, and still close to GDP. Staying at GDP you have to share restrooms and showers if I am not mistaken.

JBMasterAngler - If you have any interest in staying at a resort in February we would be willing to discuss price/options with you. As I am not sure if I am allowed to give out all my info on this site, click on my sponsor ad for the Deer River/Remer sub-group and call my 800 number. We will see what we can work out. Ask for Steve

PS - that is only if you have decided not to stay at Gosh Dam. Do not want to take anything away from GDP as they are very good friends of ours.
