The kids (ages 3 and 5) and I went to Silver Creek Res. for the first time and we C&R a whole bunch of sunfish, only sunfish. From the folks who fish that often, what else is in there? We were just shore fishing too with nightcrawler 1/3 and bobbers.

We were out again this afternoon, and besides the sunfish, my daughter caught a 1/2 pound small mouth bass on her Dora pole. Good fishing at the res, today.

I've ice fished there, but i don't seem to catch anything in the summer. But i've only tried 3 times in the summer.

For ice fishing i go out there a lot. I have caught: lots of crappie, a few perch, largemouth bass, and only 1 or 2 sunfish per outing. But the sunnies are always over 8.25 in. I have also seen some northern pike come out of there.

For a while i remember it was famous for some 20 lb pike. The problem with that is, all the stories i heard ended with the fish being brought home. Never CPR. frown
