I would also try North County Guide Service in Bemidji. Matt and his staff fish the area lakes on a daily basis and I can confidently recommend them to place anyone into some action!

In my 3 years with Muskies, Inc. Hulbert is the only guide who has donated a trip for our fundraising. We fished with him earlier this year and I think you'll get your monies worth, especially on a lake like Bemidji. There are some mighty big fishies around that area - good luck.

Yep - St. Cloud chapter - I certainly didn't want to imply with my comments that other guides statewide don't do their part for the program - there are lots of chapters and lots of guides and my only point was that Hulbert has been pretty decent to us.

Brian - Me and my Dad fished with you 2 years ago in August, I got a little one that day on the northside and Dad had a nice blowup on that topraider out on your favorite sandbreak - we enjoyed the trip quite a bit. I consider Cass to be 'of itself' up in that area, not grouped in with the other Bemidji lakes, and I've recommended you to a few people since then. Anyone asking me who to talk to about Cass would definitely get your name.

Tipp - how was your ML trip??????? I got my butt kicked Tuesday night up there.

Rescheduled because they were forecasting strong storms. Well it never happened and Scepaniek called the next night to tell me his friend landed two giants from the weedbed he was gonna bring me to. mad

YOu should have known better than to cancell a guided trip when theres a storm moving in. He, he.
I'm finally back to society now and made it out on Friday evening with no results. Never even saw a fish so I'm a little bit smit'n but I'm hoping to see how this week goes and I might be up on leech this coming weekend.

Ouch Tippman, cancelled with the storm rolling through? Naughty... wink And worse yet, it was with Steve? He's been on the fish as of late I hear. He's put some guys on some 50"+'s as of late!

Good luck on the rescheduled trip, I'm sure it'll be a memorable one!

I know I know. And the worst thing was there ended up being no storm even. All the red on the radar headed from dakota fizzeled. No lightning, No damaging winds, No hail, nothing! I thought for sure it would have been a wasted drive and Steve agreed about rescheduling.

I'm sure he was talking about Jonesi when he left a message the next night saying his friend pulled a 56" and a 52" from the area he was gonna bring me. (The same night Jonesi put his client on the 56)

50inchpig,

I remember the trip well, you and your father are great guys and I enjoyed the trip with you. Thank you for the recomendation! I thought maybe you were with the Brainerd chapter. Have donated to them twice now.

Hope you have a great season. Don't get your butt kicked too much down on the pond!
