Here's what I'm looking for..

Nice campground with water/electric hookup.
Play area for kids.
On a lake.
Beach for swimming.
Be able to rent a boat on the lake for fishing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I was going to say Carlos state park is the place for you but you cant rent boats at the park but Other resorts like arrowwood you can. Its right on the chain of lakes and has a great swimming area along with great fishing right out in front of you.

Drake, does the lake carlos marina still rent boats? that's not far from the state park. Carlos State Park is one of the gems of the State Park system.

you can also check out the resort listings from the Chamber of Commerce, or look here for a link on FishingMinnesota. Although most resorts are now seasonal hookups, there may be a few that have space.

good luck...

If you stay at Carlos, the marina just around the bend rents small boats and pontoons. They also have a small rental there if the state park is full. tell Hodge and Joyce hi from the girls in Rochester if you go.
