Hey all, its been several years since our last Rainy trip and I was just wondering if anyone has had any contact with the big crappies on Black Bay. We used to fish the cribs there and did quite well with many in the 1.75 to 2 lb range. I know the cribs are gone now but just curious....thanks

HEY RED,
WHO IN HECK TOLD YOU THE CRAPPIE CRIBS WERE GONE, I HELPED PUT THEM THERE & ALL ARE STILL THERE. WE MADE THEM OUT OF TAMARACK, BRICK & STAINLESS WIRE. THERE NOT GOING ANYWHERE., THE D.N.R. REPORTS THE HIGHEST CRAPPIE COUNTS EVER.
SINCERELY,
FISHMEISTER

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Thats the best news Ive heard all year! I know there were 2 cribs up in the Rat Root a little ways that were evaporating due to the current I suppose. So you must be referring to the banks of cribs out in the middle of Black Bay. Forgive me ....its been a few years. Thanks Fishmeister....you made my day!
