just wondering what color or color combo is everyones have to have on lures. sure everybodys got favorite lures and if you could only have one lure it's it. but what if you were forced to use a random lure... and it was all you had for the rest of your life... what color(s) would it have to be?

mine is absolutely red and white. no pearl/flashy junk.

How about we ask you why this question is posted in multiple forums? Ha!

White or blue for me.

i did identical posts for must keep colors. 11 forums in all from the metro north to LOTW. the winning colors after 24 hours was black and orange. so i figured i'd pull one of my favorite lures from my private stash and share it. i call it ''Star Factory''. first i'll appologize for the amount of pics, it's just got so many angles it took 10 to get most of it. lures like this take an extraordinary long time to complete. i hope you like it. it's not all blk/orng. in fact it's a meld of 11 colors but dominant blk/orng. very nice contrast i think...

This thread made me think. I have been cat fishing so much, I could not answer this question of the top of my head

I pulled out some of my old rigs from ML and found Red and Green is prominent in my lure colors. Most where red hooks with green spinners.

Give's you an idea of the Red Green Show grin

That is what I thought, lately my "must keep color" is silver on the outside and kinda yellowy pink dripping with red on the inside or greenish brown with a yellow belly.

Shackbash, the question for you would be "what's your favorite scent" (probably "UGGG! OMG!!!") grin Unless of course you use cut-bait.

BUT...how many fish does it catch?

so far it's caught three decent muskies and a nice pike, on the st croix. i recently redid it because i'm heading to mille lacs this coming week for a day and figured why not try it over some rocks or weeds. also a few pink ones like a topwalker i figure i'll try out for the heck of it, and pearl white, bunch of different stuff. and a 9 inch weagle type. and of course i'll use some purchased cranks. then finish the day for some walleye or perch. where's a good place for nice perch anyway? i go there trying to catch those little suckers and get walleye, northern or something else. any help is welcome?

A buddy of mine always goes out in front of eddy's and trolls small #5 crank baits in the morning and afternoon in 10-14' and catches perch late July thru August. I never tried it, but just going by what he tells me.
