Is it practical or possible to put side imaging on the Bow Mount Trolling motor as well as the helm? Lots of people run SI on the bow. Humminbird sells a couple SI trolling motor transducers. There are a couple issues with TM mounted SI. A straight path of travel is required for optimal imaging, the trolling motor can't be panned left or right in most instances. Also, noise issues related to TM mounted Hummingbirds is not uncommon. LB

You can run a say 997c SI on the console and run a 777c or 787c (non-side imaging) on the bow. Then pick up their Interlink networking cable. You only need one Navionics chip in the console unit. You can share waypoints and the map. For example, if you're fishing on the bow and enter a waypoint, it will register on the console unit.

Where did you find a 917c for $709. That seems like a great price.
