The Brainerd Lakes Fishing Has No Boundaries Committee is looking for volunteers to take some folks fishing on either Sylvan or Gull Lake on August 23rd. This s a great event that we have been doing for five years and involves more than 100 anglers with disabilities along with their caregivers. if you are interested or drop me a note and I'd be happy to give you a call.

Hey there all.....Bob is right about the need for volunteers and boat captains. You don't need to be a guide to be able to take some folks out for a great time on the water! This is the sixth year of the event and it's really grown over the years. Some of the top guides in the area help out as well and give up a busy day of guiding to volunteer at our event.

Everybody has a great time but it's AMAZING how much fun the volunteers have and even though we have a ton of them returning every year, there's always the need for more. Send me a message Ron at WriteOutdoors dot the com and I can send you details.

I am trying to see what the boys in the office are doing. I am trying to get Stange to lend me one of the big boats. I am also trying to see what else they can supply. I would love to guide.
I would love to take out anyone from the group that cleans are in-fish offices. Bucky, Dustin, James, ect... if any of them are participating I am sure they would love to come out with me fishing.

As soon as I know what supplies I can get from work, I will fill out the captains form, If I don't hear anything with in a week, I will fill out the form and see if my little boat will be enoph for 3 people.

A big thanks to all who are interested....We have a great time all weekend, a big thanks to Jon Chapman, hardwater, for his help guideing and his boat work. Check our web site of FHNB Brainerd, to see what all the fun is...Prizes and gifts for Captains along with great memories for our attendies. This is a no pressure situation, just take some very friendly people out for a day of fishing they never get to do. Friday after dinner we have smores around campfire with live music singalong, breakfast sat, lunch, then dinner after fishing. After dinner, live music and dancing, more prizes and fish stories. Thanks again guys, see you there!

You have to come so you can hear Stoneman and his boys rock the night away on Saturday. If you get this before Friday afternoon and you'd like to be a boat captain send me a private message or find my phone number on my website (pretty easy to figure out with my username and the most common website ending).

This is the best event of the summer and like SToneman said it's a no pressure very high fun thing to do. Take somebody out on the water who hardly ever gets to go. There are 54 million American with a disability and you can help a few of them have a memorable time and have a memorable time for yourself!

Let's also thank all those who supported the event through donations, gifts and sponsorships. Special recognition to S & W Bait for donating all the bait- Redtails, Crappie minnows, crawlers etc. That was huge! Can't forget the Central MN Gobblers and the Rodbenders club who not only volunteered, but donated large checks. This is what being a sportsman is all about!

And did you hear that the angler who caught the largest fish is getting it mounted cortesy of Joe Marshall and Marv Koep?

If you want to do something great, keep this kind of stuff happening year around. Give me a shout, I'm ready to do more.
