July 22nd day on the water

Took my Dad out this morning for several hours on the river. Got into some bass and got one keeper sauger at 16". Most fish were caught on Redtail Minnows and a few on worms/leeches. Tough going on the river right now. You can see them down there, just hard to get them to commit.

Yep, it was still a great time. Fishing isn't always about catching. It was a good all around day and we got one for a good sandwich.

Enjoy every minute with your Dad. I lost mine almost 11 years ago and still think about him every day and wish I could take him fishing again......I just lost my Mom a few weeks ago. CHERISH the Moments you have with them..........
