I am not sure of his motives either, but it is a free country and I don't find his posts any more incendiary or any less informative or educational than starting a thread with listing Obama's accomplishments as basically nothing.
This isn't conservativefishing.com, although sometimes I wonder. I would bet that 95% of the members on FM have a lot of conservative values.

I would bet that 95% of the members on FM have a lot of conservative values. Oh, now you're just begging for a nasty comment. Pete, while 95% is an exaggeration, the majority of folks around here are reflexively conservative. Don't bother to answer the attacks on your credibility; as a member of the Karl Marx fan club, you'll get used to it eventually!

"Reflexively conservative" interesting concept but then I would expect no less from you.

The credibility should be questioned when you have 2 screen names and a miniscule amount of posts. On top of the peevish posts

Speaking of reflexively partisan...
For those of us old enough to remember the 2000 election cycle, how many of us remember the laments about the 2 candidates? "Is this the best the 2 parties can come up?" was a common theme.
The candidates - Al Gore and GW Bush.
And who did most of the wags and commentators want? Bradley and McCain.
The Repubs have now chosen the "media choice" of 2000, and look at how quickly he is being tossed under the media bus!
As for BHO - he has played a smart game so far. He went way out on the lunatic left fringe to secure the endorsement - and nothing less than that lunatic fringe was going to get the job done. Hillary tried to walk a more moderate path, and got steamrollered.

I was one of those that very much wanted McCain in 2000 instead of the current occupant when he still had some tread on his tires. I'm afraid some of his independant streak has faded and his recent comments regarding the war in Iraq sound very much like GWB's. "I'm right, you're wrong." "We have succeeded. We are succeeding." "If you win, we'll lose". Recinding the gas tax when the road system nationwide is poor at best. Lowering taxes without any spending cuts. And the madness goes on.

Welcome back maximum12! Glad you noticed I was gone. I've spent too much time out of town fishing this year & not enough educating you cretins. What I mean by "reflexive conservative" is those who think the liberals are going to take your guns, that aggression is always better than talking, & question the patriotism of anyone who disagrees with them. I'm sure others could come up with an opposite definition for reflexive liberals. Some of my best friends are reflexive conservatives. I'd much rather have them with me in a dark alley than any liberal friend I can think of.
