Im new to buffalo and am looking for a place to bowhunt, is there public land? Is it easy to go around to farmers and ask them? Im from southern MN and could go door to door asking farmers to bowhunt and they were more then willing, i went to St Cloud and got shot down by every person i ever talked to or they wanted $3000 to hunt a year. Any help would be great. Thanks

There is a ton of public land around the buffalo area. Look at prim maps (found at most sporting goods stores) and the recreational compass on the dnr's website. Don't be afraid of waterfowl production area's either. Some deer hunters overlook them, but many a deer can be found in them.

There's some farm owner's that are very against hunting, but I've found if you go futher out and make sure to tell them that your bow hunting, That will help.
