My Dad lives in N. St. Paul and I've been wanting to get him out fishing.

Where is the best place to launch a 16' fishing boat on the St Croix and how much does it cost? How full is the parking and how early do I need to be there?

- Wish

If you go back one page on this forum(St.Croix river forum)page 2 under "Where to launch on St. Croix" there is good info for what your looking for. Sorry for being lazy but I think it would be easiest and quicker for ya.

Wish, I go out of the bluffs, south of Afton Park. You can buy a season pass for $25 and it's good for a full year. Other places are Beanies and Windmill Marine. They charge around $20 to launch each time during the weekend I believe. Don't know about the marina's but Bluffs will start to fill up by eight or so if it's nice out. I've pulled off at noon and have seen no spots left and other times have seen plenty left.

Hi
I was on here yesterday and I saw that Mort's was a good place to launch a boat on the St. Croix, somewhere south of Stillwater for overnite? Any suggestions?

The launch north of stilwater is almost impossible to park at on weekends. Always full from overnight campers on the river. That should NOT be allowed. I have been using the launch at hudson park. It would cost you $10 since you are from MN. It is a good ramp wide enough for 3-4 rigs and a dock on each side.
