Spending the week at the cabin on Hubert next week, any tips where I can find the walleye, crappie, or smallies this year and whats working? Hammered the Largemouth last year but couldnt find anything else. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I was out there last week and caught a few crappies by accident in the weeds. Depth was 9-12 feet, pitching a mushroom head jig and a GULP! Alive 3 inch black shad. That was on the east side of the lake.

The walleyes may be tough to pinpoint right now but you'll catch plenty of fish. The bass are going nuts on jigs and plastics. The crappies have been active in the evenings in 10-15 feet of water. Try trolling or casting small jigs. The action has been very good lately.

Hi,

There is a a large bar one the west side of the lake in front of the boys camp. Work that southend of the bar an an east west direction in 12 to twenty feet for walleyes and small mouth. Live minows seem to work best but shad raps are good in the evening. On the east end of the bar is an under water point. If your work both sides of it trolling or jiggning you can get large mouth, northern and walleye. The north end of the bar from 10 to 20 feet is pretty solid for large mouth and northern. for great swimming go to the south east end of the lake. There is a stretch of undeveloped lake shore with crystal clear water and sand bottom.
We have a cabin on hubert and I have fished it for years. I don't have a solid pattern down for walleys but when you do catch one they are nice. I have caught and released a couple of 10's over the years. Enjoy the lake!
