Was hot for largemouth through the 4th of July but has slowed down. Now weeded up good so I'll stay away till after Labor Day. Used to be simply exceptional, but is hit quite hard these days and lots of bass are being taken home.

Crapie population is quite small the last few years. A huge catch about 3-4 years ago during the winter months really hurt the slabs. They should return though, hopefully. There has been a lot of development there over the last 5-6 years.

Yea, the crappies are there but they are 7-9" and you have to really work to get decent fish off the weed edges. My 16 year old son is on his first "solo driving trip" to the lake with a friend and they have been on Pearl this week with a few bass. The wild pike bite on Melissa is keeping them out of trouble.
