Can anyone help me find the pike and eyes on tetonka. Next week I am taking my wife and Father-in-law fishing for a couple days. I think they are a bit tired of catching pan fish and would like to put them on some bigger species. My father in law is 6 weeks removed from bypass and hasn't been able to fish too much this summer I think we will enjoy tetonka. We will be camping on the south side of the lake. Any help would be apprieciated.

Take a gas mask along - right now the stench of death and decay is pretty intense out there.

To be fair, I might have just hit it at the right time, but it was a little pungent.

Rat-L-Traps in shallow water or basin trolling with suspended crank baits rule on Tetonka right now and that pattern will last until they want that darn live bait again in the fall.

You're welcome. Good luck.

When basin trolling, be sure to watch for areas where your boat picks up speed or slows down without adjusting the throttle.

Actually, I was referring to the fact that moving water out there is not always related to the river channel.

This whole river channel thing has me baffled, did you put out a marker bouy with no weight on it and follow it around all day?

After a prolonged period of wind, fishing the opposite shore that the wind was blowing into can be a good tactic, the lake needs to "level" back out, causing a current flow in the opposite direction of wave travel. Basically some amount of water has stacked up on one side of the lake and then it needs to return.
