I think it is a record, we thought we had one a few weeks ago, but didn't. From what we could find the 6lb. record was 56".
He needed to be using mono, no super line qualify.
Who caught it?

wait outfitter, isn't a lb-test line a lb-test line? why must it be mono? really doesn't matter to me but thought I'd ask. won't both break at a certain point under lab conditions.
i'm just a stupid walleye fisherman that would cut the line and run for home if one of them big fish found my hook.
who makes these rule?

I just know that super lines don't count for the line class records. Such as fireline, spiderwire, etc.

From talking to Scott's son, The record is 56" and over 50#. This one was pretty skinny, the other boat he flagged down to come and take a picture only had a scale that went to 38#'s. They guessed the weight at around 44#'s. Maybe his son, whenever he gets off the lake, can tell the story and show the pic?

Just wondering if there is much of a Muskie population in Rainy Lake itself, and if so, where would be the most likely areas?

TNRick,
If you are looking for 'skis in Rainy Lake focus on the Seine, Swell, Bleak, and Redgut Bays.
