Its good to see that a shallow, heavily pressured metro lake is capable of producing such a trophy.

Great a dead muskie. I can't figure out why it's a suprise that a big fish would be in that lake, it's plenty deep etc.

why would you even keep that fish? obviousley he is not a muskie fanatic otherwise he would have takin measurments and had a replica made.. dissapointing to see that size of a fish get caught by someone who does not understand C&R. as if muskies are'nt hard enough to catch at Owasso as it is...

I would keep it, I wouldn't get it mounted though, but I bet it would be a great size to pickle......besides it was legal length so WHO CARES if he kept it.....

Sure it was legal but I doubt the guy is going to eat a 49" 'ski. Why not just take a pic or get a replica made I just dont see why anyone would need to keep the fish. To brag it up to a news crew?

Would a 40" muskie be too big to eat? I have always wondered what muskie tastes like. It's all hindsight though, I don't fish muskies and highly doubt I'll ever catch a 40 incher.

It's legal to keep and if he wants the actual fish mounted and not a rep, that's his choice. People come down way to hard on folks that keep fish and there is nothing wrong with that as long as they are legal size.

It's gettinga bout as out of hand as the Politicaly Correctness you see everywhere.
