I think the US should tell Isreal now that we are not going to back them up, that they are on their own!

Problem is I think This administration is quietly behind Israel Just like they were behind Israel when Israel attacked attacked Hamaas in Lebanon. The cannidates probly shouldnt voice their opinion just incase this threat actually works agaist Iran. Keep em guesing be benificial if Iran didnt know what the futer holds.Of course the other route may work to.
Just glad I dont have to make the decision. I'll stick to arm chair quaterbacking. When something goes wrong I'll have hind sight on my side

I think we should worry about our own country and stop worring about others! If they want to blow each other up, let them! If Isreal is feeling tough and think they can fight Iran let them, if they are only going to do it because they think we are going to back them, well its not our war, why do we need to get into the middle of it. Our economy cant handle another expensive war.

Well first off, the new President should tell Israel (happy? ) that we will not support any invasion into Iran, and secondly, if they do go in, leave it up to the UN to decide. We cannot afford another 2b a month when our own economy is crumbling.

Pretty simple.

Ther are more options than that.

Israel is that mean little dog that we keep on a short leash and I don't mean that as an insult. They kicked the stuff out of the Arabs plenty of times and in short order. The world situation is quite a bit different now and nobody is willing to risk WW3. The U.S. in Iraq isn't helping Mideast relations but a Jewish/Muslim conflict would be a whole new ballgame.

no US president is not going to support israel. i dont care if its obama or Mccain. we may say,"bad israel" in public if they attack iran but then give then a wink an a nod behind the scenes

I can not say for a FACT that this will happen. That can only be stated after something has happened you know that.

- Iran has publicly stated they believe Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth. As have other countries made similar statements.
-Israel is the constant target of missile, and suicide bomber attacks.


This is with the knowledge that the US is behind them as you state. To thing this would not only get worse is naive.
