I've been on OT lake for 13 years and mostly fish the northern half. There are enough good spots and fish but sometimes I wonder about the southern half. With one more landing on the north side I must not be alone. I've fished in front of Balmoral and Grampa's island but that's about it for the southern half. So my question is which half of OT lake do you fish and which is better?

I like the north side better. There's a lot more structure on that half, and the fish tend to run a few inches bigger on that part too. Plus I've found that the fish on the north half like Fathead and Crappie minnows best, but on the south half they'll only bite on Redtails, which are way more expensive.

I can't believe more people didn't chime in about this. Or is it that most people just fish in front of their places because of gas prices and time.

Kind of wierd, maybe but I fish mostly the north 1/2 in the summer and been spending more time on the south 1/2 in the winter.

I really cannot explain why, though.

Jerkin'm would have my head if I said anything about where I fish, cause I'm usually jumping in his boat when I get out there. eek whistle

Nah, I've got spots all over. It's a big lake with endless spots. When I fish, I fish.....wind, access and time all dictates which spots I want to hit.
