bass_hunter Hello I'm New Registered: 07/01/08 Posts: 11 Loc: minneapolis, mn	I am excited I just bought a new boat yesterday. Got a great deal on it. It is a 1959 Glasspar Avalon with a 1969 55 hp engine. Only a few things need to be done with it. All it needs is a new battery and some seals for the lower unit. DOes anybody know how much the seals for the lower unit would be?

Surface Tension HotSpotOutdoors PR Administrator Registered: 02/01/02 Posts: 11791 Loc: Twig, Mn	Typically you'll need a gasket and seal on the water pumps cover, two(tandem) bearing seals below the water pump. 2(tandem)propshaft seals and a shift rod seal. You'll be replacing the impeller as well. Normally thats around $50 total but once in a while you get an impeller that'll run that much.
