The Zebco 808's have dual pins. I bought one in '95 for fishing channel cats and kept that reel for ten years before getting rid of it. Changed the line a few times and never had a problem with it.

Superline (SpiderWire braid for sure) won't work with spincast reels. The line is too limp and doesn't catch on the pickup pins. Some other more stiff lines may work better.
