I bought one in '95 for fishing channel cats and kept that reel for ten years before getting rid of it. katoguy Sr FishingMN Family Registered: 01/25/01 Posts: 885 Loc: Mankato, MN	Superline (SpiderWire braid for sure) won't work with spincast reels. The line is too limp and doesn't catch on the pickup pins. Some other more stiff lines may work better.
