I'm leaning towards an August Saturday for this little get together. My plan is to paddle the Minneapolis city lakes, we can put in on one and then there are four interconnected lakes to explore - Calhoun, Lake of the Isles, Cedar, and Brownie. Decent fishing can be found on any of these lakes, plus you will not have to deal with any powerboaters and jetskiers around. There usually is a bunch of other kayaks and canoes around, pleasure paddlers mostly, not much for fishing competition. So what do all think?? I know these types of gatherings can be small, if a half a dozen FM'ers showed up, I'd consider it a success. Let's throw it out there, what weekend works best for those considering attending this little GTG?

I'd try to be there. I've been wanting to get out and meet more FMers for awhile.

Those two weekends work great for me.

I'm new to the site and Kayak fishing but I would love to join this get together. Both of those Saturdays work for me.

I'd like to try to make one of these. As of now, I could make either Saturday.

Welcome aboard Schief, this kayak fishing sure seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year.

Good, I was hoping you would chime in on this GTG MARXimum12. wink

Now if we can just get Cyberfish to join in on the fun and stay topside. laugh

I will try to make it no matter when it is. I have tentative plans for both dates but things can change.

Has anyone looked at the weekend of July 19-20th? That date was a possibility when we discussed this earlier in the summer.
