Hello,
Heading up to Minnewaska in late August/early September for walleyes. Never fished this lake for walleyes, what are some good pointers to get started? Are they shallow, deep, cranks or live bait?
Thanks in advance for the help.

We usually fish Minnewaska the weekend after Labor Day it kind of depends on how the weeds are. Normally we like to drift lindy rigs with crawlers/leeches/minnows. We usually have the best luck in 4-10ft along the weeds when the wind blows and if it is overcast. Have to go a littler deeper with jigs or troll if it is calm/clear. We usally end up with a lot of nice smallies too, which are a blast to catch. A lot of smallies in the 4-5Lb range. Good luck, we usually have a blast and if the wind is blowing you shouldn't have any problems getting something to bite.
