I do not know if this is the place to ask this question or not, but here we go. My H2O seem to be taking longer and longer to pick up sat. Sometimes I will be driving down the road and I will loose sat.( I will be in a wide open area). It is pluged into the cig. lighter, so I do not think it is a battery problem. Wrote the factory and they said hold the pages button down and power button down at the same time and when it starts, let up. Still doesn't work like it used to. Any help you guys? Thanks in adavance

Even if you're in a wide open area your vehicle roof will block it big time. Does it do the same just standing outside?

I've found that if I set mine on the dash while driving it will lock in much quicker.

This is what I do as well. Also, if you're nowhere near where you were when you last had it on and locked in, it sometimes takes longer to lock in.

mine took over 30 minutes to lock in in the middle of the lake in a open boat even held it up in the air thats why i sent it back now the new one locks real guick. also it had a note with it it stated to not store it any place that can reach 150 deg which I think a dash mount might reach that also under some boat covers so watch that.
