have not seen much for bullies in a forty mile radius of kato. if you do find some dont leak on it it will be empty before ya know it. i have been using chubs with some success. winklers of third ave sells them but she takes reservetions and there usually gone before to long.

Head to Lake Hanska or Clear Lake by Gibbon for bullheads, tons of them, alot in the 5-7" range, way to big for my liking...

With all these people that want bullheads is it legal to sell them and if so what size do people want? 3-7 inches is .75 cents to much to pay for one bully?

i dont now much about sell bullheads and the licence thing but i do think 75 cents would be to much since i now someplace that you can buy them for 50 cents.

With gas prices, if you need to drive more than 30 miles 1 way and have no way of keeping a whole bunch alive for an extended period. A dozen bullheads at .75 cents is 2 gallons of diesel, plus saving you time. With proper licensing, it could be a way to make some extra , but I believe you need a bait dealer license.

i picked some up out of spring lake last summer. it took a little longer to get them out of there compared to a nearby hot spot. cant give away the hot spot though! that would make for some angry folks. i also caught a bunch just out from the landing on lake george during the ice fishing season a couple years ago. i did not catch any from the dock at the landing though, but i only tried it for a little while earlier this year. this lake is an option for you that is close to mankato.

Lake Hanska is the bullhead capital. Very easy to catch, just fish for walleyes with live bait. Please take some home!
