Hope everyone had a great weekend! The fireworks at mistake lake casino were pretty good Friday night. I found a couple sweet looking agates. Fried up a the last of my walleye from May. I also finally got down to the river and did a little mudeye fishing too! Broke the new Penn in on a 28...love that combo! Gotta get the waders ready for the Otter Tail River next weekend.

Got a little vid of a real monster....

Holy cow Kevin, that's the smallest flathead I've ever seen! Did you catch him on like a 6 inch bullhead? I'm always surprised at the things those small fish think they need to eat!

It took a good sized one...not sure of the exact length tho. I would love to have one that size in a tank at home grin

Catfishkid...welcome! The Otter Tail River is a trib to the Red. My Wife is from the Fergus Falls area and I fish it up there when we visit. Its a good place to catch fiesty channels on crank baits...I love it!

I guess you have never been to Pool 2 for flats yet Brian grin

Another great video in the D30 collection cool.

D30,

Now do you have to put those in the tumbler yet, or do you display them like they are?

I bought my granddaughter one of those rock tumblers to shine um up. Her mom and dad are ready to kill me as the thing is so noisey and they had to put it in the garage. I must have bought the wrong kind.

H.L., thats what grandparents are for, to buy them the noisiest toys there are, when they out grow bells and whistles you need to find something that just makes more noise grin

caught a flat about that size on a 7 inch bullie a few weeks ago. flat went 13 inches.

bait was 54% the length of the fish....

must have been hungry I guess~

Forgot to mention the elk steaks over coals last wed night

I have caught one flathead smaller than this one but I was walleye fishing.

I don't polish the larger agates. I think they look much better in the natural state. I do clean them in acid and coat them with mineral oil to bring out the colors tho. Can't wait for the Moose Lake Agate Days next month...I got a couple bragging rocks to bring with grin

Growing up in E.R. the aggregate capital of the state whistle agates where a fun past time when I was young. I lived down a road from the city pit and loved picking them with friends.

Now that pit is gone frown

Plus my agate collection.

UT3....I don't think my computer will even run that game. Unless the graphics requirements aren't all that much more than UT2004...

Sounds good Rob. I'll be gone this weekend but I'll call next week. I haven't been playing too much UT3... or 04 for that matter. They do take a lot of juice but I'm able to have both loaded at once. I'm hoping to see some more custom maps start showing up for UT3 tho. My Son tells me UT3 is available for XBOX now too...hes picking it up tonight.

I will have to check out that big egg at the bank in Moose Lake...I've heard its purdy nice!
