well i tryed for them and cought some fish this is what we cought







no eyes at all i tryed ever thing on 2 different days all over this small lake but i don't think the eyes where up shallow on this lake but we cought a lot of bass this was the big one ....and the way it works my buddy cought it this was his first time fishing this year cought it over a rock botttom

and that was a 22" bass 5.15 pounds .......its going on his wall .....i don't bass fish but i know that is a big one when you can fit a tennis ball in this mouth but there is one think that i know is the size is in the eyes of the fisherman ....

Keep sticking with it, eventually it comes together, and yes, Bass are a fact of life when fishing for shallow walleyes...

My luck & patience ran out on the shallow eyes once the weeds died off shallow.Coincidence?I switched back to my favorite method,jig &fathead.Put 5 keepers in the box on tueseday & wednesday.good luck1

ya maby it is just the lakes that i tryed are not right for it idk ... i think ill head back out this week and look in the teens some where for some fish ........i allways have luck in 13 foot of water lol that is my luckey death .....maby you have to be team otter to do that shallow thing .....

My lucky # is 12 for trolling & 17 for lindy.
i was jigging 15-17 with luck last week.12' jigging produced
many crappies.

local laker, weed die off's give the fish more room to roam, well they give you more options to fish really, cast to where they were at, and any remaining clump of weeds with most likely be holding fish. The main thing to look for now is baitfish.

River rat,keeping me shallow would be a hard sale.
at times its great,other times not so great.
i like to mix it up.fish can be anywhere looking for food,as long as there is oxygen.i enjoy everything the lakes have to offer!(except for the jet boat/ski).
