Thursday whwn i went out the tach in my lund started darting around. at about half throttle it was burried at over 7000 rpm. What is wrong loose conection?

That'd be my guess - I presume it was working before?

The other thing that it could be is the pole setting got bumped some how - take a look at the back of the tach and see if it is between settings.
