Can anyone tell me if this is producing any pannies this year? I usually head down there a couple of times a year but haven't had a chance yet. My Dad's coming in town this week and I'd really like to get him on some pannies. Just curious how it's going.

Chocked full of the little guys. Great place to take the kids or anyone that just wants to catch fish. Curlyleaf is dying off, so it may become navigable in the shallows again.

Good luck! Just curious, you don't drive down to Waseca just for Clear lake pannies do you? (I don't mean that in a denigrating tone either btw)

Nope, I've done OK for eyes and my Dad likes to hit Cabelas. But I've usually pulled decent crappie out of there.

We were over there early evening last night, nearly all the weeds have died & are laying on the bottom, caught 5 bass- 1 pike working the shallows. If you work the 5-20' drop/contour N.W. corner or out from Maplewood point you should do ok, but you may already be familiar with that. If you've done ok with eyes there, you must know the area. Good luck! L2f

Sandman, I fished Clear pretty hard for about a week and crappies were hittin hard out there, average size was about 9.5 inches, some that touched 11...so there are some big ones in there.

P.S. This was about 2 weeks ago but I have been out twice since then and was still able to do OK

I see people fihing along the path in the S.W. corner & by the beach on the west side. Trying to stay weedless wouldn't be a bad idea, or bobber fishing amongst the weed patches. good Luck! L2f
