I was up there Wednesday. We caught a lot of bass, a crappie, and a 27 inch Northern but 0 Walleyes from 3-10pm, not exactly what we were looking for. Does anyone catch any eyes out there? Is it more of a night lake?

The water has went way down in the past week. Was out on Friday morning and got a bunch of bass on power frogs and blade dancers.

We had good luck with walleyes on Koronis this past week. Early and late in the day with crankbaits was the key. Caught about 10 total in very limited morning and evening fishing. Caught one 14", one 15", and all the rest were 18" or better, with 2 at or just above 20". They hammered the crankbaits in less than 10' of water near emerging weedlines. After the wind switched to the East on Wednesday, we didnt catch any more walleyes. We also caught a lot of northerns, but only a few up to 3 pounds. Only a couple smallies, but the Largemouths seem to be making a comeback.

We used crank baits after 7:00 and only caught 1 bass on them. I used a Bomber AH-8(which might be too big) and my parents used #5 raps. Are we using the wrong type of cranks? I really like the lake and it is a good distance for my family. I think if we could get some good fish we might look into a lake home on it. Does the lake stay pretty productive all year? Is it better in the spring or fall?

Just got back from our week at Koronis. Fishing seemed slow to us this year. But, we did manage to catch walleye everyday and some northerns along with crappie and smallmouth. The biggest walleye was 21.5". We cuaght most of them in wind blown areas pulling perch colored spinners with 3" gulp minnows. I dont remember the wind blowing in years past as it did this last week, but was still a good time.

I went to Rice yesterday and once I saw the landing (green and stinky from all the algae) decided to go to Koronis instead. Unfortunately, it was only the 2nd time I have tried to fish it and it was probably slow being 85 degrees and no wind. All I caught was a hand full of rockbass, perch, sunfish, couple smallies, and one 14 inch walleye. I think it was the first time all year that I did not catch a largemouth bass or a Northern while out fishing!
I am kinda new to the lake but trying to figure it out. Aside from the obvious structure and weed edges around the 2nd and 3rd islands, is there anywhere else out there that is decent for trolling cranks or lindys? I primarily troll a spinner rig with a leach this time of year but that was not producing so well yesterday. With all that green water would a person be better off using something with more agressive action like an x-rap?
Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated.
