Walleye fishing remains awesome on the big pond. Our best and most consistant bite is still in the shallow weeds. Rapalas twitched over the weedtops are working great. Jigs swam over the weedtops, and then dropped into the pockets is working great as well. We're also catching fish on the flats, but it is somewhat inconsistant. Sometimes it's rigging, and sometimes it's on slip bobbers. You just gotta keep moving till you find some willing biters. Eater fish remain elusive, but I don't hear too many folks complaining about having to catch and release an "average" 25" fish!

Here's some happy people that have gone through my boat in the past couple of weeks.

Everybody have a safe and fun holiday weekend. Hope your fishin is good.

Pete the shiek with a good one on a hot June day.

Petes partner Chris with another of their many good ones.

A couple of guys from the Minnesota Wild farm team. I had a great time with Ryan and Paul last Tuesday.

Danny, Joe, Ryan, and Aaron...the four "scuba dudes" took a break from class last Sunday and christened my new boat well with a whole bunch on nice eyes.

Jim with a good one from a couple of weeks ago...this one caught on a phantom while fishing for muskies!

Nice work Tim. You may have talked me into stopping by the big pond on the way up north tomorrow.

Nice fish Tim. Shallow water bites are tough to beat.

You can never go wrong with shallow, plus it saves on gas wink.

Nice report!

The anticipation is key. It is what life is for, even if you get skunked.
