Typical summer clarity in Anoka section, still high.

Same up here in the Elk River area.Water is still a bit high, but is dropping slowly.Current is moderate, but not near the usual slow summer current speed.Clarity is the usual,as MS Riverdog posted.

every time i say this someone else will tell me they've been hitting like crazy....but fishing has been terribly slow for me for the last 4 wks. only thing i can consistently boat are cat-eyes.

Fatbassman, I can only assume by your username that you have been after the brown bass, but specifically what are you fishing for? What have you been using to catch only catfish?

Topwater action for the smallies should be going already. I caught some 17's on Monday, using a white buzzbait.Poppers/PopR's will do the trick, too.

Nice fish, eyeguy! My last trip was only for a couple of hours, and I spent too much time screwing around with a messed up trolling motor.I gotta put in some more time out there, to get on to some bigger fish. Good to hear the water is clearing up.
