cool I've got a friend and his wife coming up to the area from Phoenix in August (I suspect to find cooler weather of 90 versus 120). Long story - short, he chases hammer handles and rock bass because he hasn't figured out how to catch an eye. I'd like to get him set up with a good guide to insure he will never go back to the Arizona oven and promptly find the only way he can go on living is to move to Minnesota and fish the rest of his life. Any suggestions are welcome!

You might want to contact Jason Boser. He is the the mod for the Grand Rapids and the Deer River forums and he has talked about having some good success on Leech so far this year. Here is a link to his website Mnfishingpros.com

Look up Dan Craven. Hired him for a day a couple of summers ago. Had a great time and learned a ton.

I hired one of the supposed top dawgs a few years ago and never caught a single fish!!!! He seemed more interested in saying hey to his buddy's and acting cool then making sure sure his clients got what they payed for. Did not learn a thing but still payed the guy 175.00 for his troubles. BTW his initials are Ted G.

definitely look at jim murphy and also look at jeff woodruff. jeff is a good friend of ours and does a great job wether walleyes or muskies. have fun up on leech lake really going up there and look to weeds such as cabbage to find nice eyes.

Hey Cobra,
I always see you are posting about Little Boy. My vote would be Dan Craven. He knows alot about the longville area and very nice guy to fish with.

Jim Flesch would be my first choice. The guy can catch fish in a toilet bowl. And if you happened to see the Reeds billboard for several years on Hwy 10 on the way up north that was Jim with the huge Muskie in his hands. Great guy and will teach you about the lake and fish. I think you can contact him at the Coldwell Banker office in Walker, several other good names that I know have been mentioned as well but Jim is the man in my book

I have heard a lot of good about Gary Trimble From Buck And Patty when
they owned Buck's. Also Jeff Woodruf is good, he grew up on Leech, knows the lake very well.
