What still seems a little dirty, at least it was for me on the upper part of Pool 4.

Good night last night. Just over 4 hours and 20 eyes (biggest 23"), 5 smallies, 5 sheepies, 3 northern, 5 striped bass and 2 crappies.
Constant action.

Jim, which side were you on? Were you on the St. Paul side up near the dam? or buy the creek. I've been to the creek several evenings this week and also found the action to be constant. Where do you suggest I park on the St. Paul side if I want to fish it?
Thanks,
Phil

Hidden Falls Regional Park, North Entrance. If you park nearer to the pavilion there are some trails that lead you to point directly across from the Minnehaha Creek confluence.

Without giving away the farm - could any of you give me a few tips how to fish Pool 2. I've fished the area around Pike Island and upstream of the lock and dam with little to show.
If I'm lucky I get a catfish or a smallie - but can't do it consistently enough to keep my kids interested in fishing the river.
thanks

thanks with summer temps and water levels upon us, you need to key in on structure, and those with a decent flow. fish wingdams, rock piles, etc. the easiest for you would be to anchor upriver of a wingdam and pitch crankbaits, jig/plastic, jig/livebait, to it and if you do not find active fish, move onto the next one, you will eventually find a wingdam that is holding active fish.
