Just curious, I've been seeing these infomercials on all the time about this. Is anyone using this and if so, is it as good as they say? I just can't believe a single lure can be as good as they say. I'm just wondering if there's any truth to this out there.

Thanks!!!!

I have seen a few shows like Mr. Babe Winkleman use them fishing for monster pike and they worked great. I just haven't been able to find them anywhere. If you find a place in MN that sells them please reply back.

Yeah, Babe is on the infomercial talking about it. It seems kind of far fetched but if there's something out there that triggers fish maybe it's not as crazy as it sounds.

Babe actually had a 30 minute show in Canada fishing for monster pike and he used the Banjo. He was smoking them. I think it is the dead stick action that triggers the fish to bite it.

Hey my brother bought some of these a few years back and they worked. It didn't smoke 'em or anything but he caught his share of fish with them. Bass and Northerns.

What doesn't catch fish in Canada? Most of those fish have never seen a lure before.....

I agree...I went canoeing in the boundary waters and did a little fishing....I caught a few northerns without even paying attention...I don't think the banjo minnow had a whole lot to do with it.....just a ploy for babe to make more money (can't really blame him!!!!!)

I used one a couple of years ago musky fishing and a guy with me told me he would throw his tackle box in the lake if i caught a musky on it. The next cast a nice 35 inch northern came up from the deep and bit. he was so scared as i was fighting it thinking there goes my tackle box. I would have made him throw it in.

Reeds in Walker MN sells them. It probably works great if there's a fish in the vicinity, but it's not much of a search lure. Probably would be a great throw back bait for musky follows

I use the banjo for bass along weedbeds mainly. I have caught northerns on it as well as redfish/trout in Florida. This is usually a last resort for me. I prefer a wobble-tailed swimbait (with or without spinner) most of the time over the banjo.

yes they work. Great for bass fishing. I got my second set of them at Dicks in woodbury. Haven't fished other species with them but they are my go to lure for bass in the weeds.
