Mates!
I'm not looking for kudos or backing anyone.
Travis, 4wheeling trails are one thing back in the sticks.
Boat launches for the public are a completely different matter and need to be maintained for public use and safety in the metro area.
Any one....... including and especially WATER RESCUE needs to be able to put a rig in the water at any launch, at any time....during boating season.
Its not the public user responsibility to keep the launches clear..
If it comes down to that.......... Why not put in personal launches and charge to use..... Wouldn't work on the MN river.

Very, very very good point!

I never thought a bad thought about the DNR for not having a cleared launch for me! It was one particular time in space, when the never predictable river showed its power. If one had to launch, it could have been done.

If it was not for the clay/mud, we would not have our loved “mud cats”

As of last night:

Carver and Chaska were unusable.

Jordan and Shakopee were ok.

Hopefully they get that Carver one cleaned up by Saturday, it's a mess.

Carver is clean as of this morning. Thanks to the Carver Parks Department for being very responsive to my calls.

Should be ready to go for Saturday. They said they would check it again Thursday or Friday.

Wow, kudos to John and to Carver County Parks for jumping at the chance to gitr done. John, are they in charge of clearing that ramp normally, or did they just do it this time because you asked?

How's the 35W landing? I have a Expedition with All-Wheel Drive, will that take care of the mud?

I was there a few days back and the landing was in really good shape.
