Dude, it is totally worth the trip.
It's unbelievable. I mean, I may be a little biased here, but I can honestly say that it's the best place in the world to watch a football game. Doesn't matter who they play. Lincoln is a cool town to visit, too. And, since it's not that far from Omaha, you could check out the Henry Doorly Zoo and make it a trip for the wife and kids so you don't feel all guilty about dragging them down there to see a football game. It's a win-win.

Dont forget about being part of the experience that makes the Memorial Stadium the 3rd largest city in Nebraska during game days...

Here's an idea. An FM get-together for the husker fans of MN. Oh yeah and it would be held at Memorial Stadium. I'm in, who else. Go "skers" Duane

Sounds intriguing... I might be in.
Failing that, we could just all get a booth together at Joe Senser's in Bloomington and watch a game, then hit the water. Or, fish on a Saturday morning, and make it to Senser's before kickoff.
Fishing, burgers, beer, and some quality college ball. I could see that becoming a regular thing.

Here is a list of all the home games for the 08 season with ticket prices. If any of you are interested let me know and I can do some research. I do believe there is a section in the north end zone for Minnesotans for Nebraska. But it really don't matter where you sit cause its a sea of red everywhere in the stadium. Its been a while since I've been to a game so I think its about time I get back to one. Duane
Nebraska Home Game Ticket Prices
Opponent Date Price
Western Michigan Saturday, Aug. 30 $55
San Jose State Saturday Sept. 6 $55
New Mexico State Saturday, Sept. 13 $55
Virginia Tech Saturday, Sept. 27 $65
Missouri Saturday, Oct. 4 $65
Baylor Saturday, Oct. 25 $65
Kansas Saturday, Nov. 8 $65 Colorado Saturday, Nov. 28 $65

Hey fellow red heads. I am from Nebraska and just moved up north to NW corner of the cities. Anyone in the area like to listen to the huskers on radio and fish?
Lets do it this fall.
Go BIG RED I am from Nebraska as well. If you are from Nebraska you have to love the Huskers cuz thats essentially the only team we have! Ryan

There are a bunch of games I'd love to see... Mizzou, Kansas (their winless streak in Lincoln will continue), I love to see the Buffs get the snot kicked out of 'em... I wish I had season tickets and a private jet. But if I had to choose one, I'd go to the Va Tech game. That'll set the tone for the season. I'm surprised that ticket's only $65.

I second that. THe VT game is going to be real good. But that should also be on national TV I would bet.
Lincoln is without a doubt one of the best places to see a game in the nation. Even just being in downtown Lincoln on the game day is something you wont believe.
Another idea which is always fun and cheap is to go to Ames and watch them beat the cyclones. Ames is always a lot of fun and there are normally more Husker fans there taking over the town.
Anyone is hard up for a ticket. let me know. I can usually get my hands on one or two. --Or at least put you in the right direction online to buy one. ( no I am not a ticket guy)

Oh yea --by the way--The Joe Sensors thing and fishing should be an absolute must as a small group here-- I want to hook up for a ride in the boat with someone and then we can go to Sensors.
If your up for it, Let me know WE could pick lake somewhere down on the that corner (fish until noon and then head over for the 1pm start.
That might be a good Missouri game day. The game would probably be on at Noon or 3pm for national/regional coverage.
