was out on koronis on sunday and found some really nice crappies (black) threw all the white ones back. Was out for only 2hours and kept 6 must have threw back 50+ as well as some bass and a pike. Fished with waxys and minnows and not a bite. then i switched to gulp waxworms and then the bite was on. The only problem I have is ppl in boats that drive by and c u catching fish so they have to anchor 2feet away from u and fish. [PoorWordUsage] ppl koronis is not a small lake if u c someone fishing on shore please dont come and anchor in front of them. sorry i had to let that out. NE1 els on here having ne luck from shore? I have been also getting eyes and smallys on the river but I would never keep a fish out of the sippi.

matt320 nice to see ur having some luck i have a cabin thier.....good that you are releasing some fish.. this is really nice fishery and i like to see catch and release, been up their in weeks passed and seen some ppl filling coolers with little crappies kinda irratates a guys but o well atleast ur helping the cause good luck adn good fishing

I know what u mean well i was fishing a guy and his kid came down and pulled out 6 pails and were keeping everything they were catching and then they even asked me "how many rockbass can we keep" and i told them to throw all of their fish back because they were too small to keep. I always CPR all my fish I only kept the ones that i did cause one got hooked in the eye and some swallowed the hook. have some pics of my fish that i got this year but dont know how to post them.

nothing,after it happend I thaught maybe they were keeping that many fish cause they didnt have much money for food and [PoorWordUsage] which happens nowdays with the high gas and food prices

ok is it ok too keep everything you catch when the economy is bad?How about steal gas when prices are too high? Cut out copper pipes on houses that are abandoned? I think it is all just 'hogwash' Some people are fish hogs no matter what else is going on it the world........my 2 cents worth!

The crappies are still in the shallows on koronis I was out yesterday and had a limit in 2hours all really dark black males in about 2-3fow on a teardrop and gulpwaxy all the males I kept were 9-11" lots of white crappies and some fat gills but those were all put back.

Matt320, can you give me an idea of where you were fishing. Looking for somewhere to bring the girlfriend this week that has some good action. All fish will be C&R.

was at my shore spot yesterday morning and the bass were goin crazy untill this couple came down in about 2 hours they kept 20 largemouth bass and some smallys I told them what the limit was and then the guy told me to mind my buisness. So I tryed to call tip but no answer so I left a msg.

I would've called 911, told the dispatcher it was a non-emergency, and given the report.Stearns or Kandiyohi county sheriff could have sent a deputy,or the dispatcher can get a hold of the local DNR CO.TIP call is good and the first call to make,but it might not get a CO there in time to nail the offenders.

I thought about callin the sheriff but didnt think they would do anything about it. I really dont understand why someone would want to keep so many bass nasty. I have only seen a CO on shore one time this year and that was early in the spring I just wonder howmany other people do this kind of thing from shore because they know in the summer time the COs are all on the openwater.

Matt, thank you for calling TIP. Even though these people probably got away with it, we need more people like you to step up and do the right thing when they see someone violating the regulations. I too am sick that these people would do something like this, but at the same time I am happy to hear there are people out there like you that are reporting these violations. They will get caught eventually as long as people keep reporting.

Its my goal to catch someone doing something like that, before bass seasons and eye seasons im always watching ppl fish on shore to see if they toss something in the bucket they shouldnt. Need more ppl like you to actually call.
