Good luck to those of you fishing the tourney this weekend. Not a lot of good reports coming from the lake, but a few fish are being caught here and there.
See you on the water!

did any of you watch the weigh in? There were two teams with 4 fish. The one team had 3 fish still alive and a 4th that looked like it had been dead for over a day. It had no color, was beat up , the eyes were toast, and the gills were straight out. I want to know how you manage to keep 3 of 4 fish alive and have one come in like that in an 8 hour tournament. I am not afraid to say I dont think this fish was caught during the tourny ( my thoughts). I think maybe they should penalize for a dead fish or have a taxidermist or DNR agent at the weigh in.

i fished the tournament and we did catch our 4 and finished 5th i can tell you that not all the fish were caught trolling (ours yes) the big one came on a jig and leech. not in the inlet. the guys that won it were fishing by us and caught the 8lber about 150 yrds ahead of us. i did not see the dead fish stated above so i have no comment on that. yes the weather was warm until about 11:30 12:00 then cooled off abit with the wind whipping out there but with most of the livewells in recent years it is hard to lose a fish or have one decribed that way. besides the water was still fairly cool. really hard to lose a fish in cool water. just my opinion.

I am well aware of what is done to a fish that is hooked in a gill, furthermore I know what it looks like eight hours later which is not what this fish at the weigh in looked like. you could have stepped up to bat with that thing. I know they check boats and everything but I have 9 compartments in my boat and I opened just the livewell and he didnt even make an effort to look in it anyway. Like I said, I think there should be a penalty for dead fish, I mean 6 teams finished behind this thing.
