Kraska, what route and how long will you be there? My brother and I are going in EP 14 on the 18th and exiting EP 16 on the 22nd. We are cutting across shell, hustler, oyster, then out the nina moose. We might be crossing paths.

Also on another note has anyone paddled up the Nina-Moose? With water levels high this year just wondering how hard we're going to have to paddle?

As far as ice you should be fine on this weekend. I've fished La Croix on opener for years and think it's ice out and condition are pretty much in line with Vermilion. The Nina, Agnes route will be fine because there is so much flow there however I would say it is HIGHLY unlikely there is still ice anywhere on Lac Croix. As far as flow and paddling. This is as high as I've seen the water for years. I would say you'll have no problem making it but it will be more work than in years past.
