I would keep an eye on this forum as alot of great info is passed about. You can also do a search and find out water temps, lures and baits for these areas throughout the year.

Welcome to Fishing Minnesota and Hot Spot Outdoors and good luck fishing.

Hello there and welcome to FM! Guys here will have endless info for you and you will just build upon your fishing trip success each time you go out. Just ask your questions, and after you head out, you will have 100 more questions! The Mississippi River has an endless supply of fish and different species, but it will take time to learn. The river will always throw you for a loop just as soon as you think you have it figured out! That is also a great thing since you will never get bored. Along with your questions, I invite you to take a look at past episodes of HuntFish TV. You can watch the most recent show from the Fishing Minnesota Homepage. You can also check out past shows at HuntFish TV website. There are about 10 shows that have taken place on the Mississippi within the last year. It may just give you a starting point for your first time out.
Good luck to you, and ask anyone here, they will most certainly help you out!!
