Any one hit Rice Lake by Painsville? Any fish? Was it crowded?

I was out there on Wednesday night for a few hours. Was about 20 boats out from what I could see, most of them fishing in just a couple general areas. The guy I was fishing with had one hit while pulling a leach very slowly across the bottom but the fishy got away after only a little bit.

Finally made it out fishing for the first time since fall. My 3 kids out fished me. Even my 2yr old daughter. I was rather suprised though, as the fish were biting at odd times. We were catching walleyes around 3 in the afternoon with the sun out(off the dock). Ended up catching 6 nice crappies (the kind that used to populate the lake in numbers 5 yrs back) and 4 smaller ones, 2 eyes over 3lbs and 10 that were 12" or better. Also got some bullheads over 9". Odd thing though, I found many dead bullheads in the washed up brush around shore plus I also found a half dozen dead sunnies.
