I have had to switch plans and now will be staying in Pike Bay. Will is be a zoo there saturday when they open it? Being a virgin to Vermillion, will Pike be easy to fish?

Pike Bay has little structure and is tough to figure out. I'm sure you'll be fine though as I doubt there will be no shortage of boats in there to secretly steal tips. Have fun!

It will be easier to fish than to navigate through all the boats. There will be a lot of boats around Hoodo Point and you will see fish being caught with every fishing method known to man.

Sounds good guys, guess I will lose my virginity with lots of on-lookers smile I am off in 30 minutes, hope the weather is decent and I am greatly looking foward to learning the Big V.
Thanks for the advice.

Here you go, It's pretty windy out here but I seen a few boats in Pike Bay. I think Fortune Bay has something going on today so I would guess that alot of the rig's are there. In years past I've seen about double as many rig's at Pike bay landing though.

Here's a few boats in Pike Bay fighting the wind

And here's a few pictures of Big Bay today, I did see one boat out there.

You guys weren't kidding about the boats on Pike Bay! I have never seen so many boats fishing in one area in my life. Was tough to run raps and navigate them but we managed. Was funny to watch boats pull right into our wake when we netted one and work that area, also a tad bit frustrating trying to make return runs!

Have to search the lake so you dont have to fish with the crowds!!! There are many places that the walleye bite just as good...

Wally, I remember seeing a few boats with single people in them, I also spent a good amount of time hiding under my sweatshirt hood to get out of the darn wind. We had two in my boat, Alumacraft Lunker and I had a super tall pole sticking straight up by the motor. Would have been fun to chat and as myself and my fishing partner thought, everyone we met on Vermillion this weekend was super nice. We are planning return trips because of the fishing and people.
