Ron Schara's report on the Star Trib made it sounds like people were banging em up! Limits of fish before noon. Cold and snowy but the fish were really cooperating. Seems like the exception and not the rule though. 41 degree waters. Brrrrr!

Had a great opener on Sand stayed at LakeWood Lodge again was also great as usual. Got a limit of Eyes and some nice Perch

Nice fish! 4 of us guys are going up there on sat. Was it shallow? temp? the nice thing about sand its quiet and a lot of different places to fish. thanks any info please.

Most "eyes" are coming out between 8 and 12 feet. Some are having luck with jigs and minnows, some with blue and silver crank baits and a few with leeches. They have been found on the rocks, weeds and sand flats. Water temps are still below 50 degrees but should be changing daily now since we have finally seen the sun and the night temps are staying above freezing.
