It used to be that you could launch there anytime, but you just needed to pay when you came back. Things may have changed since I last put in there. The Croix is in desparate need of some good public accesses!!!

Most places I pay on the way out, but not sure about Beanies.

You can launch any time at Beanies. They have a box with pay envelopes near the door. Just put the launch fee in the envelope and put your vehicle license plate number on the envelope and drop it in the mail slot on the door.

Yeah I was kind of curious because I wanted to pick up bait there. Maybe I'll just get it tonight.

The guys at Beanies seem so grumpy all the time. Not sure if you guys had same experience was I had there. I'll probably never go back there again.

I agree, the old guy is very grumpy. I try not to let it get to me, he's just trying to keep everything moving along quickly.

The guy has always been like that since he bought the place. I live down the road a bit and I try to to let people know of better places. Problem is he the only one that sells more than minnows with the launch.
A much better place to go is in Afton ''Windmill marine'' Much better launch and parking they do carry fatheads. It maybe couple bucks more but they do have people there to help unload.Might even be the same this year being he increased his fee

Never ran into the old guy, it was always high school kids when I went there last year. All I know is I'll never launch there after labor day ever again! $15 to launch! I'll stick to the boomsite.
